This role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and quality of food purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation within budgetary parameters. The successful candidate will supervise, implement and maintain core menus and recipe management system and BOH computer system.
Key responsibilities include maintaining proper procedures to maintain kitchen/equipment sanitation, responsible for monthly internal sanitation audit, complying with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling/production, partnering with Unit Manager to ensure issues with food production, preparation and presentation are resolved, ensuring optimum food quality/presentation, and developing and maintaining relationships with residents through dining room visits and meetings.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must have a minimum of 3 years Executive Chef experience, fine dining experience a plus, knowledge of ala carte and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls and food presentation, and good knowledge of PC software and POS systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).Benefits
