JOB SUMMARY
Attendance responsibilities include the documentation and processing of student attendance records, coordinating and preparing reports, maintaining records requiring compilation and classification of varied and confidential information. The Attendance position works closely with Counselors and the Director of Student Services as a member of the Student Services Team. Hours worked are 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. This position has the summer months off.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Director of Student Services but may receive work assignments and direction from one or more administrators.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Run daily and weekly attendance reports, update and correct student records, and rectified attendance weekly
- Clear communications with counselors, teachers, and administrators about attendance concerns
- Coordinates with Director of Student Services the process of communicating with parents/guardians over attendance concerns, including processing excessive absence and tardies letters
- Process attendance infractions and detention slips for tardies and skips
- Delivers notes for students to classrooms and picks up green attendance slips from substitutes at the start of each period
- Oversee the Health Room; assisting students with minor health issues, contacting parents/guardians regarding sick and/or injured students
- Collect and file Archdiocesan medication forms
- Collect, process and submit Student/Youth Accident Forms
- Collect and file field trip forms at the completion of the field trip
- Serves as a part of the supervision team
- Serves as a part of the school safety team
- Backup to Office
- Welcome students, parents, and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Answer and route phone calls. Answer questions about general information.
- Working knowledge of office
- Assist with photocopying and other office projects, if needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrated competence in typing, data entry and use of current office technology and equipment (i.e., computer systems, fax, copiers, etc.).
- Highly organized and able to keep accurate and detailed attendance records.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with the public, parents, students and staff. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure of simultaneous deadlines and stress of frequent interruptions.
- Ability to exercise discretion in the protection of confidential information concerning students, parents/guardians, and staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- High level of organizational skills
- Two years secretarial or clerical work, including data processing and record-keeping
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to work in a Faith-based school environment
- Experience working in a high school (preferred)
- Spanish speaking (preferred)
