Position Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Program Director in the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Day/Evening Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programs. This role ensures smooth coordination between case management and clinical departments, manages behavioral health staff, and facilitates essential communication with external vendors and service providers. The Operations Manager is also involved in safety and quality improvement initiatives and supports the Program Director in operational and administrative duties.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and attendance of Day/Evening Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programs, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians and Lead Case Manager. Monitor their job performance, providing guidance and feedback
  • Act as a liaison between the medical and clinical teams to ensure effective communication and scheduling
  • Coordinate with external vendors, including billing, environmental services, and laboratory providers
  • Collaborate with the Program Director in oversight committees, such as safety, performance improvement, and the Quality Environment Committee
  • Attend and actively participate in daily operations meetings and weekly staff meetings
  • Manage office supplies inventory and handle the ordering of all necessary materials
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Program Director or Executive Management

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of experience working in a MH, SUD r or psychiatric facility, or equivalent leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health management practices, clinical operations, and facility management preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements related to behavioral health management preferred

Work Environment:

The role primarily takes place in a professional environment, including offices and outpatient facilities.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. The role involves frequent use of hands to handle or control objects, tools, or controls. Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms are required, along with lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel:

Local travel is expected during business hours, with occasional out-of-area or overnight travel as required.
