Job Summary

The Vice President of IT will play a pivotal leadership role in guiding Mark Andy through the successful implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This strategic position will oversee the entire IT department, ensuring alignment between business goals and technology solutions. The VP of IT will be responsible for ensuring the ERP implementation is on time, within budget, and aligns with our long-term technology strategy. This role requires a proven leader with strong project management skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee and manage the end-to-end implementation of the ERP system, including system planning, vendor management, integration, testing, training, and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure the ERP system aligns with the company’s business processes and objectives, driving operational efficiencies and improving decision-making. Coordinate with key stakeholders across departments to ensure smooth data migration and integration. Ensure effective internal communication throughout the implementation process, providing regular updates and gathering feedback to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy to ensure a successful transition to the new ERP system. Act as the key point of contact for all ERP-related communications, maintaining transparency with senior leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute the company's IT strategy, aligning it with the business strategy and the needs of the ERP implementation. Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure efficient IT operations, risk management, and data security.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on IT-related matters, ensuring alignment between technology investments and organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, ensuring alignment with both ERP implementation and long-term technology goals.
  • Build and foster a high-performing IT team culture with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Ensure that the IT department has the appropriate skill set, resources, and capacity to support the ERP implementation and ongoing IT operations.
  • Manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring financial control and accountability, especially during the ERP implementation phase. Evaluate, manage, and allocate resources for the ERP project, ensuring proper prioritization and effective project management.
  • Manage relationships with ERP vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and problem resolution throughout the implementation.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the ERP implementation, including technical challenges, integration issues, personnel issues and resource constraints. Develop contingency plans for addressing unforeseen challenges during the implementation process.

SKILLS / ABILITIES :

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, meet deadlines, and ensure budget adherence.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • High-level strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach to implementation and problem-solving.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills with a focus on collaboration and mentorship. Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within an organization that underwent an IT transformation.
  • Proven experience leading and successfully delivering ERP system implementations (experience with Infor a plus) including change management.
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure, software development, and project management.
  • Familiarity with business processes across various functions (finance, operations, HR, etc.) and how ERP systems support these processes.
  • Knowledge of modern ERP systems, cloud solutions, and emerging technologies
