SUMMARY:
The Security Officer monitors all casino areas to ensure safety and security
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safeguards assets of the company.
- Provides for the protection of guests, employees, and property.
- Patrols assigned areas and assists guests and team members as needed.
- Examines doors, windows, gates, etc, to ensure they are secure
- May occasionally perform other safety incidental duties, only when guest safety is an issue
- Completes the inspection procedures for used cards and dice, if authorized.
- Completes the canceling or destroying procedures for cards and dice, if authorized.
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested by supervisor or management
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATIONS
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work demands
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have at least some security experience
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months’ security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Missouri Gaming Level II Gaming License required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
