Mark Young Construction, LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for a Receptionist. The Receptionist is the face of MYC and plays an instrumental role in the daily operations of our corporate office.
The Receptionist in this position works closely with clients and vendors in the Commercial Construction Industry as well as colleagues on his/her team. The Receptionist is the first point of contact to visitors and guests of the company. In this capacity, the Receptionist is a professional representation of our office and company and will provide a high quality of customer service. Additionally, this position offers the opportunity to gain experience while working with the safety, operations, estimating teams as well as the accounting and human resources departments of the company learning a variety of administrative duties with possible potential for company growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Courteously answer phones, handle calls, determine their needs and direct them to the appropriate individual or take messages. Ensure customers, vendors, and employees are handled in a professional and courteous manner.
- Courteously greet visitors and other clients, determine their needs and direct them to the appropriate person, office, or conference room
- Prepare outgoing mail and/or Fed-ex correspondence daily
- Open and distribute all incoming mail daily.
- Photocopy and distribute correspondence and documents as needed or requested..
- Coordinate calendars for meeting rooms and prepare rooms as requested. Log meetings within the appropriate Public Calendar so that employees are informed. Post daily the Meeting Room Calendar
- Maintain and monitor appropriate levels of office supplies, equipment, and other materials to allow Team members to complete assigned responsibilities and provide for client needs
- Order necessary office supplies for the office and for jobsites
- Distribute t-shirts, hardhats and safety vests on an as needed basis to employees. Includes New Hire Welcome Bags. Additionally, monitor t-shirt, hardhat and safety vest supply, partner with the Office Manager when the stock becomes low.
- As needed, order lunch/food for New Hire Orientation and/or office meetings and trainings
- Partner with the Office Manager to design and post monthly employee birthdays to the Birthday Board
- Assist on a monthly basis of the distribution of employee Birthday and Anniversary cards.
- Perform general administrative support for the construction field, administration, human resources, accounting, estimating, marketing, safety, and management
- Ensure that the mail distribution center (Inboxes) is accurate and updated as employee status changes
- Assist the Office Manager in identifying the needs of the office and storage rooms to ensure an efficient work environment for all employees.
- Must be able to work in-office five days per week
- Hours: 7:30am-5pm Monday – Thursday and 7:30am – 12pm Friday
- Minimum 2-5 years clerical/receptionist or administrative assistant experience, preferably in a construction environment
- Ability to maintain responsibilities for general administrative assistant support functions to all departments to ensure efficient utilization of time
- Ability to use (proficiently) a personal computer to perform word processing and spreadsheets (and graphics, if applicable), e-mail applications and internet activity. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer are required
- Ability to type 25-30 wpm
- Ability to type accurately
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of filing methods
- Ability to run errands as requested
- Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Managers and Customers
- Ability to speak English, Spanish would be a plus
- Salary: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
