JOB OVERVIEW
Administrative sales support staff take on tasks, that frees up the salesperson(s) to focus on sales. They maintain day-to-day contact with both the retailer staff and supplier partner staff. They often provide an initial reply to emails, phone calls or letters between the retailer and the supplier partner. Part of that support role includes analyzing Point-Of-Sale (POS) data to make or help make informed decisions about the business needs.
As part of the general office support, this position works with others in the office to greet guests, handle incoming telephone calls, and accept receipt of packages (usually supplier partner samples). This role is based in Grand Rapids, MI.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Store Visits, including but not limited Meijer, Target, Walmart & Walgreens.
- Duties includes photographing displays and POGs.
- Performing promotional tracking, is the promo running, is the offer accurate, etc.
- Purchasing samples on an as needed basis.
- Mock-up creation for Meijer simulation store and meetings.
- Maintaining supplies in the office,
- Coffee, milk, water, etc.
- Sample Receiving
- Check in all samples that arrive at the office.
- Store in an organized and easily accessible manner.
- Storage Room Organization
- Keep storage room organized and disposing of any samples that are outdated, pending approval from sales managers.
- Meijer System Item Maintenance
- Periodically review all items for consistent naming and that all required information is available for all items.
- Maintaining a list of items that need to be setup online, working with the sales managers to either request or have them request missing information.
- Point person for updates to CFP and images online.
- Planogram and Item Maintenance at Meijer simulation store
- Reset planograms to the current state prior to upcoming reviews.
- Assist sales managers at Meijer simulation store
- Periodically review planograms for accuracy of UPC and swap out mock-ups with live samples.
- Work through sales managers for any updates, changes, or sample requests.
- Meeting Preparation
- Staying up to date on upcoming meetings (both in the office and at Meijer) and the needs of the sales managers for the meeting, including supplies and samples, along with any food and drink needs.
