Job Overview
This position is within our Strategic Marketing & Communications team which accelerates business growth for clients through its campaigns and communication solutions. We have been at our craft creating stories, beautiful design and persuasive programs for over 35 years. Our team has partnered with some of the biggest and brightest businesses, along with some up-and-coming superstars to help them grow in the marketplace. We offer end-to-end marketing communications, across a variety of channels.
Most of our clients are CPG companies with products in distribution in all major retailers (Drug, Mass, Grocery) and Direct to Consumer. Our client’s partner with us to develop consumer & shopper strategy and execute activation plans to help them accomplish key business objectives and win in retail (physical and online) and DTC spaces. This is a hybrid role based in Holmdel, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for this position will be energized by a diverse workload with clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies and the unique objectives and requirements they have. You should enjoy working in fast paced environment where you will be engaging with teammates and clients throughout the day and able to balance multiple projects and clients while appropriately prioritizing.
You will have direct client engagements and own responsibilities and projects where you will be committed and accountable for results, with proper training and ongoing support. In addition, you will be a key contributor to large client engagements as needed.

- Assume day-to-day contact with existing clients assigned and develops deep relationships that cultivate collaboration and growth opportunities; anticipating client needs & challenges by immersing oneself in their industry and brands to provide thoughtful strategic solutions.
- Effectively lead multiple deliverables across clients. Projects include contributing to campaign strategy, leading program execution, measurement and reporting along with all project management and administration tasks required. Executional elements can include paid media, email & SMS, in-store POS and displays, influencer, UGC and organic social. Appropriate resources and support will be provided as needed.
- Craft effective and professional client and internal communications that spark desired actions and outcomes.
- Write clear and concise estimates, project plans and creative briefs.
- Manage deliverables and timelines for executional excellence.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including the wider MPG network and external partners.
- Lead projects with external partners to ensure they are meeting timelines and client expectations.
- Manage necessary administrative tasks to run the accounts you work on including meeting scheduling, agendas and notes, organizing assets and files, maintaining trackers and data, and handling key finance activities.
- Actively participate and support team building and engagement.
- Provide guidance, mentorship and shadowing opportunities to grow Jr. Account Managers and enhance your own leadership capabilities.
- Seek out and engage in professional growth activities that align with your goals and participates in those provided to the greater team and organization.
- 2 years experience in marketing (agency-side a plus).
- Frontline client management or customer service experience.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or other related field preferred/or equivalent work experience.
- MBA a plus.
- Ideally experience with both digital and print marketing executions.
- Comfortably utilizes Microsoft Office.
- Oral and written communications.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong project management and administrative skills – showing accountability, follow through and leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and desire for accuracy but can also flex to be a big picture strategic thinker.
