JOB TITLE
Assembly Line Lead
OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven, highly organized individual to work in our multi-client 3PL warehouse. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and assisting in our Assembly Department duties and will be an essential part of our management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing daily production personnel and processes.
- Ensure line is set up with components, F&A and standard the night before.
- Assign, train and supervise line workers on the work assignments designated for the day.
- Create and print all labels needed for daily production.
- Continuous monitoring of the lines to ensure efficiency and accuracy of work orders.
- Training the department assemblers and providing them adequate knowledge about the process as well as motivating employees to achieve production goals and targets.
- Educating and directing the employees about the company's rules, regulations, and overall GMP(s).
- Ensuring that health, safety and GMP regulations are met.
- Maintains uninterrupted flow of work through coordination with other departments to maintain efficiency as per standards.
- Communicates with Quality Control for any defects found and product placed on hold for evaluation.
- Operate and assist in set up of labeler and other machinery and accurately perform all quality checks and documentation per company SOP’s and cGMP’s.
- Establish work procedures to meet customer deadlines.
- Complies with & enforces all safety rules & regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform minor troubleshooting activities on the line.
- Engage and be Involved in Operational Excellence (OE) and process improvement activities in efforts to make packaging processes more efficient and simplify practices in meeting the culture of "Working Smarter, Not Harder" philosophy.
- Communicate clear expectations to production personnel and keep them informed of matters pertaining to the job.
- Create pallets ticket for every pallet and fill out production timesheet.
- Document all discrepancies including returns, rejects, and downtime.
- Assists Supervisor as needed.
- Other duties as assigned as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a 3PL multi-client environment
- Punctual, dedicated, energetic and professional manner are some of the most essential key skills required for this position.
- Must read, write, and speak English. Bilingual - English and Spanish is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Data entry skills, experience and knowledge of using a computer and keyboarding is required.
- Assembly department equipment knowledge and operating experience (i.e. - labelers, ink jets, coders, shrink wrap systems, heat tunnels, tape machines, conveyors, etc.)
- Ability to read and apply written instructions from a manual, memos or short correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
- Ability to learn quickly and a willingness to ask appropriate questions as needed.
- Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with RF scanner
- Previous work experience in a 3PL environment
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to work OT as needed
- Strong organization skills and multi-tasking capabilities
- Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude always
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- The ability to create and maintain positive relationships with both external customers and internal departments

- Background in Health and Beauty environment
OTHER INFORMATION
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position may require long hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.
This role also requires the ability to lift items, bend, or stand as necessary.
The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse/manufacturing setting. Candidates should be able to life and carry up to 50 lbs. and comply with OSHA standards.
