JOB SUMMARY:
Press experience is required
The Web Printing Press Operator is responsible for equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures and a corresponding skill set to operate, adjust the equipment and overseeing all phases of the tasks associated with printing and maintenance. Responsible for evaluating situations and making decisions to ensure the quality of the finished product.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up of the Printing Presses
- Make ready of the Folders, Sheeters, Ink Consoles, and Web Controls.
- Help with the Ink Changes, Webbing, Plating of the Printing units, and stacking
- product when needed.
- Check printed samples to proof and maintain print quality throughout press run.
- Pulling samples for Quality Control and Customers.
- Preventative and scheduled Maintenance of Machinery.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous press experience.
- Mechanical experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Requires proven English communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Ability to facilitate communication between production personnel while work in process.
- Initiate and maintain good organization of records and information.
- Customer focus mindset is preferred.
