Experience: 2-5 years of industry related experience (Residential Property Management); 5 years of accounting experience

General Accountabilities
General Ledger Management:
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare journal entries, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Monitor and manage reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including regulatory filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are processed and reviewed accurately.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary data and ensure completeness.
- Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare for external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
- Coordinate with auditors during the audit process and implement any recommendations as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and company procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting operations.
