Full-Time Bookkeeper

Marketplace Selections is a family-owned wine, beer and spirits distributor in the Outstate Illinois market and seeks a self-motivated individual to represent our company. We are seeking the right individual to fill a Full Time Bookkeeper Position to join our team! You will perform basic accounts payable and accounts receivable duties along with other responsibilities pertaining to customer and employee records.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• File documents; make paper and electronic copies
• Prepare bank deposits
• Prepare reports as necessary
• Reconcile driver routes
• Reconcile supplier/shipper invoices
• Process customer payments
• Enter bills and prepare outgoing payments
• Process and pay sales rep expenses and incentive program
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Follow standards, procedures, and applicable laws

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree; associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus
• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounts receivable clerk or accounts payable clerk
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, Google Suite, databases, and QuickBooks
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail and an aptitude for numbers
• Well organized, with the ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks

Hours:

• Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

*Starts at $18.00 an hour
