Description
Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking a Full-Time Dispatcher to add to our expanding operations at our Indianapolis Headquarters. The Dispatcher is responsible for managing the scheduling and dispatch of rental equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, pickups, and setups. This role involves optimizing driver and fleet utilization, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained and loaded safely. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the improvement of dispatch processes and procedures.
Currently looking for a Full-Time, hourly (non-exempt) position with the ability to work the 9:30-6:00pm shift.
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure all deliveries, sets, & pick-ups are completed in a timely fashion.
- Develop daily runs and assign appropriate vehicles for drivers and technicians to use to transport gear.
- Work closely with all internal customers; Interact with external customers in a professional and helpful manner.
- Ensure fleet is properly maintained.
- Promptly communicate any pressing issues and solutions with management.
- Ensure all trucks and semi’s are loaded safely and are ready on time.
Requirements
- Must have a professional attitude; Must be willing to work in a team warehouse environment.
- Must be punctual and dependable with an excellent attendance record.
- Basic knowledge of all types of audio and video equipment.
- Solid communications skills, both written and verbal.
- General understanding of computers, Microsoft Office software, printers, basic computer interfacing, and E-Mail systems.
- Ability to quickly learn to operate the R2 inventory operating system.
- Basic knowledge of vehicles and fleet maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to be pass DOT physical
- - no drug screening.
- Must be able to obtain a For Hire endorsement at BMV by passing exam.
- Must be able to drive up to a non-CDL 26-foot box truck.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes.
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision; Good prioritization skills.
- Desire to work toward continual improvement in processes, practices, and procedures.
- Must be able to maintain a productive, positive attitude during stressful situations.
