Markon is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This role is critical to supporting our government clients by developing and managing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that provides decision-makers with an accurate, timely, and structured Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for portfolio acquisitions, service delivery projects, and their interrelated dependencies.
As a Senior Project Scheduler at Markon, you will:
- Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) by incorporating inputs from developers, service providers, and external partners.
- Review contract deliverables, including Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), to assess milestone impacts and schedule changes.
- Evaluate vendor-provided Systems Engineering artifacts, such as test plans and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrices (RVTMs), to ensure schedule feasibility.
- Provide program- and project-level analysis on service delivery status, including critical path trends, milestone adjustments, and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure the IMS is integrated with broader program schedules to provide visibility into program dependencies and enterprise-level scheduling.
- Offer expert assessments and recommendations on schedule risks, dependencies, and alternative courses of action (COAs) through written reports and oral presentations.
- Mentor Program Office personnel on best practices for scheduling and IMS management.
- Support program management, execution, and communication efforts to optimize project outcomes.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 9 years of experience (or a Master’s with 7 years of experience, or a PhD/JD with 4 years of experience).
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph.
- Extensive experience with project scheduling processes and Microsoft Project.
- A proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining effective client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Systems Engineering, and other Program Management tools.
