Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Lead to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate construction accounting practices and the ability to mentor staff members.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring we receive payments in a timely manner and accurate record-keeping.
- Ensure that all AP/AR entries are correct for job cost reports.
- Manage the auto/equipment insurance
- Resolve vendor issues as needed
- Manage/Handle yearly insurance audits
- Mange the auto license renewals (tags/permits/2290s)
- Utilize financial software, including HCSS & eCMS, for efficient bookkeeping and reporting.
- Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in corporate construction accounting
- Familiarity with financial software, particularly HCSS & eCMS, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounts receivables and double entry bookkeeping.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Ability to mentor others and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information the executive team
