What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Client Lead position at Marks, part of SGS & Co?
POSITION SUMMARY
Building deep and broad relationships in the client organization while mapping a future for the business in 1-3 year time-frames. Growing the portfolio of clients and diversifying work across Marks capabilities. Work hand-in-hand with your Programme Partner as well as Creative and Strategy leads in running the portfolio and being held accountable for $10-20MM in revenue.
COMMERCIAL
- Own the MSA, negotiations and commercial engagement. Own your clients PCC narrative.
- Know every detail of your contracts/SOW’s and have proactive plans for COLA and rate increases as well as being well ahead of re negotiations.
- Have your year-on-year strategy ready as well as annual account plans & your clients plan on-a-page quarterly.
- Own any RFP/Pitch for your clients (with support from Growth team, and CS SVP & VP)
- Be accountable for commercial output and support solutions to manage margin.
- Forecast strategically and own all quarterly projections to drive growth and answer knowledgeably to the business.
- Actively seek out organic and new business opportunities and partner with Growth Team.
- Track and own aged debt, billing, accruing and your monthly & annual number in the portfolio.
CLIENT
- Be completely connected to the client CMO strategy and vision.
- Be a thought leader and active in the industry. Actively engage with experts in the field and attend events, have your ear to the ground on LinkedIn.
- Drive growth, elevating all propositions the agency has to offer. Ensure your clients know everything Marks has to offer.
- Lead all QBR’s, ABR’s bringing in CS SVP & VP
- Act as strategic partner at the table with your clients, being their advisor (ultimately driving growth and smarter strategic creative solutions)
- Client Satisfaction surveys sit with you. Manage them, and create solutions for all feedback.
- Ensure your clients are well known in the agency and be their ambassador and guardian.
LEADERSHIP & INDUSTRY
- Motivate and inspire your team, identify gaps and create solutions to teach capabilities and skills.
- Know your competition and get Marks ahead of the game.
- Teach and create Brand Advocacy.
- Elevate the connected agency experience with SGS actively selling all parts of the ecosystem
- Manage the business expectations proactively and expertly. Inform UP and teach DOWN.
- Know all the players. Work with your Programme Partner to run it seamlessly.

- Ensure all the tools and technology are in place needed to service and future proof your clients.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the following knowledge and skills
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university, and more than 10 years of experience or equivalent work experience.
- Deep experience in Design and/or Advertising Agency.
- Experience managing mutli-level, client facing teams.
- Strong “client-hands” and experience leading account teams.
- P&L experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to excel at leading teams, developing talent, and working through others to consistently deliver budgeted annual, quarterly, and monthly financial and operational results.
- Demonstrated ability to excel as a teammate on a portfolio leadership team and to senior shared services leaders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is 127,000 USD - 170,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Salary : $127,000 - $170,000
