Essential Job Functions:
- Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Â Observe and report all suspicious activity
- Â Follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies
- Â Maintain compliance with Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism and Foreign Trade Zone (where applicable)
- Â Completes incident reports as required
- Â Responds to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standardized Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols
- Â Performs routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm/fire suppression/and security equipment
- Â Physically inspect all fire suppression systems, including but not limited to:
- Â Sprinkler System
- Â Manual and Automatic Alarm initiating devices
- Fire Panels
- Â Standpipe Hoses
- Â Performs daily inspections on apparatus, security vehicles, and emergency response equipment
- Â Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor
- Act as a weather spotter and monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems
- Approve and inspect all hot works and high-hazard hot works, confined space permits
- Participates in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness
- Maintains compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high-pressure environment
- Other duties to be determined by the supervisor
- Minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
- Certified Fire 1 and 2
- Current Driver’s License and the ability to pass a driver's training course.
- Pass an NFPA 1582 physical examination
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
- Experience managing multiple tasks and executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high-pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Possess above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
- Trained in CPR and First Aid
- Industrial firefighter experience
- Certified EMT / Paramedic
- Hazardous Materials Technician
- NIMS Training
