EL Coordinators (2)
- Grades 1-5 (June 30 - August 1, 2025)
- Grades 6-12 (June 30 - August 1, 2025)
Title I Jump Start Coordinator, Rising 6th Graders (July 7 - August 1, 2025)
Effective Dates of Employment:
Upon appointment through August 1, 2025
Summer program for students runs June 30 - August 1, 2025
All weeks are Mon-Thurs
Compensation:
Title 1 & EL Coordinators: $7,500 stipend
Title I Jump Start Coordinator: $6,000 stipend
Hours:
This position requires coordination and planning prior to the summer program to attend meetings and design and plan curriculum, as well as programming for summer learning. During summer program, the coordinator is expected to be on-site 30 minutes before program starts and remain until all buses are cleared at the conclusion of the program.
Summary:
Works under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning or the Director of EL to design and set up summer learning programs.
Statement of Duties:
- Organize and set up summer program for respective area.
- Effectively partner with Adminsitrators, teachers, tutors, families and other staff as necessary to plan, design and implement a summer program that promotes learning and growth of all students with high-quality instruction using meaningful student assessments and data to improve instruction and sets a safe and effective learning environment.
- Facilitate student selection process, communication with families and set up paramenters for summer attendance tracking of students.
- Collaborate in supervision of staff to deliver support programs and strategies.
- Set up and support teachers and tutors in learning the guidelines for the summer program to build their knowledge, skills, and abilities in delivering instruction for students.
- Responsible for setting up paperwork required as part of program.
- Responsible for planning and coordinating assessment data associated with the respective program.
- Troubleshoot for the program as necessary with staff, parent or student involvement in the summer program.
- Work with building based Administrators and Central Office Staff to ensure compliance Responsible for other general duties as necessary.
- Outreach to parents regarding any attendance and participation concerns.
Qualifications:
- Current DESE certification in appropriate area required, Supervisor/Director, Principal/Assistant Principal preferred but relevant Teaching License and leadership experience will also be considered.
- Master’s or higher earned academic degree. Familiarity with programmatic requirements.
- Some ability with virtual learning technologies and able to draw on expertise from technology specialists as necessary to solve problems creatively and collaboratively.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
