Job Summary:
Responsible for performing assigned administrative duties in an efficient, accurate manner in accordance with established procedures. Responsible for collection and abstraction of data, which may include organization or patient-level information. In addition, this position assists with quality assessment and performance improvement projects and initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct chart audits and abstraction as instructed by Director.
- Collect and monitor data for quality, infection prevention & control, emergency preparedness, or other projects as directed.
- Maintain professional growth and development through attendance of seminars/webinars, workshops, and other training courses as appropriate.
- Participate in organization-wide quality improvement activities to improve performance and patient outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of computers; data processing
- Data abstraction experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Education and Experience:
- Current RN license in MI. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare-related field. Clinical experience as hospital clinician preferred.
