What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Insights and Analytics Manager position at Marlins?
Position Summary:
The Consumer Insights and Analytics Manager will develop and execute high quality, qualitative and quantitative research, synthesize learnings into fact-based recommendations, and present the data-driven insights to cross-functional partners across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistics, and customer experience analysis. Ultimately, you will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to support the company’s goals.
Essential Functions:
- Lead custom qualitative and quantitative primary research.
- Provide innovative approaches to understanding the customer experience better and to drive enhancements to existing products, policies and protocols
- Partner closely with Marketing, Ballpark Operations and other cross-functional partners to execute innovative custom-research that provides a unique view into our customers, helps build our new and existing brand narratives, and answers critical strategic questions.
- Leverage 1st party data, 3rd party data/research, and primary research to uncover insights and create persuasive external reports focusing on customer behavior trends and preferences
- Be an internal source of expertise and excellence on research and insights, and the methods used to gain a greater understanding of our current and potential customers
- Design and implement best-in-class research processes covering innovation testing, customer experience monitoring and testing methodologies to enhance customer experience
- Manage, develop and mentor team members, providing guidance and opportunities to foster growth and to maximize their performance
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in statistics, marketing analytics, data analytics and/or business analytics
- Proven analytical skills including the ability to rapidly learn new data tools
- Strong analytical skills, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with visualization software such as Tableau / Power BI
- Experience working in sports and/or in the live entertainment industry is a plus
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
- Bachelors degree in quantitative field (economics, statistics, computer science, or data analytics) preferred
