- Visit and assess Marmon facilities factory to review automation opportunities and understand current operations with senior staff
- Research automation technologies and solutions for a specified application
- Compare technologies based on cost, functionality, lead time, support level, reliability, and other factors
- Prototype technologies and processes
- Design, build, and implement simple technologies in house without the use of an integrator by leveraging existing engineering expertise
- Use learnings from site visits and prototype system builds to write bid specifications for integrator-built systems
- Support equipment buy-off and activities to bring new equipment online
- Work with the IIoT team to implement connectivity and data collection
- Assist in project management efforts from scope development through system delivery.
- Help maintain project budgets and schedule
- Inquisitive nature & self-starter who can implement with minimal guidance
Sophomore or Junior pursuing an engineering or engineering technology degree in :
Mechanical
Industrial
Electrical
Automation
Preference to be based at a Marmon Transportation Company within the United States & multiple work semesters.
