What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Marquette Golf Club?
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented server to join our team. As a server, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent service to our guests and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable. Our season starts in April and typically ends late October, with additional events happening in the off season as well.
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive and personalized service
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and any special dietary requirements
- Up-sell menu items and promote daily specials
- Process payments using POS system
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables and sanitizing surfaces
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Server
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is preferred
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
