What Will You Do?
Marquette is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dining Room Manager to join our team! This position provides full-scope, hands-on dining room management in the Culinary Services Department. The candidate selected for this role is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.
Job Salary Range: $19- $25.53 an hour.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Manager:
- Supervises the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations including service isle, table bases, table place settings, chairs, floors, drapes, and lighting.
- Responsible for the overall dining experience including room service and buffet services to ensure that guests are satisfied.
- Manages all staff for the Legacy dining room including servers and utility technicians.
- Coordinates scheduling for staff and assists with payroll. (UKG- Kronos experience is a plus)
- Assists in providing on-the-job training for dining room personnel. Along with on- going training.
- Coordinates the seating of residents served in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met.
- Maintains all POS including meal counts, reservations, and additional charges. (Experience with Full Count POS or similar system is preferred).
- Confers with Asst. Director and Executive Chef regarding special requests, reservations, and daily menus.
- Interacts with guests during their dining experience to ensure that staff exceeds the guest’s expectations.
- Waits tables and provides beverage and bar services as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by Executive Chef.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma/GED or the equivalent education, training and experience
- Minimum of 3 years restaurant, hotel or senior living experience required. (Senior living experience preferred)
- 3 years of management experience required.
- Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
- Catering experience is a plus, not required.
- Ninety percent (90%) of workday spent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and stooping. Must be able to lift and carry up-to fifty (50) pounds frequently.
