Summary
We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our team at Marquette. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with driving strategic financial planning and analysis. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence and supporting our growth.
Responsibilities
- Organizes the accounting department to insure proper accounting for all pertinent records.
- Schedules and maintains daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual routines as required.
- Hires, trains, and manages accounting staff.
- Serves as a resource person for other department heads, superiors, peers, and employees.
- Coordinates year-end activities including audits, audit schedules, cost reports, and tax and informational returns.
- Ensures that all miscellaneous monies are properly handled.
- Prepares special reports/trend analyses/pro-forma, etc., upon request and regularly informs supervisor regarding the status of accounts and financial activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience in public accounting or finance management roles.
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting functions.
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience with G/L, A/P, A/R, Payroll, and financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with CCRC and/or Long-Term Care industry a plus.
