Junior Controller / Assistant Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with audits.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with other departments to finalize budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization proactively and timely
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to challenge the status quo in a professional manner, with specific emphasis on process improvement and driving efficiency
• Willingness to obtain data to ensure compliance with Sage standards and to maximize cash flow from operations.
• Demonstrated ability to think end to end with all accounting activities and integration of finance activities into other functional areas of our business
• Sage Intacct experience
