Role Overview
The Deaf Support Services Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and have developmental disabilities. This includes implementing individualized service plans, facilitating community integration, and managing day-to-day site operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise ASL Fluent Lead Support Staff and ASL Fluent Support Staff
- Participate in the hiring process, including conducting interviews and preparing new hire paperwork
- Evaluate and train staff members as needed to ensure they meet job requirements and receive necessary certifications and training
Requirements:
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with individuals with chronic mental health issues, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and other disabilities in a community-based setting
- Fluency in American Sign Language is strongly preferred
