Marriage Counselor (LSW, LPC, MFT)

Married Life Coaching and Counseling is a team of licensed professional counselors and marriage and family therapists located in Akron, OH. We provide research-driven interventions, healing therapy, practical support, and real hope for couples who desire a thriving, intimate, best-friendship with each other. Our primary approach centers around Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). We are eager to invite new clinicians to join our practice who either have experience with this therapeutic modality or are enthusiastic about furthering their knowledge in this area.

This is a full-time counseling position, providing therapeutic services as well as practical support and interventions to help individuals and couples improve their relationship. The day-to-day tasks include conducting counseling sessions, developing treatment plans, and providing guidance and support to couples. Our charming offices are located in West Akron, with parks and coffee shops nearby. This position is hybrid, enabling clinicians with a home office to work both in West Akron and from home.

Qualifications include:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology
• Licensure as a counselor in the state of Ohio (or ability to obtain licensure)
• Experience in couples counseling (or desire to engage in training)
• Enrollment in Masters program, Internship site availability
• Knowledge of research-driven interventions and therapy techniques
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Strong empathy and ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients and couples
• Ability to develop treatment plans and set goals with clients and couples
• Experience with online counseling platforms is a plus
• Experience with or desire to train in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Salary: Starting at $50 per hour for licensed counselors according to the following criteria:

Pay Scale:

• Unpaid Internship includes team meetings & trainings, and weekly supervision with Christie Orosz, LPCC-S
• 3-Month provisional period for all new hires: $50 per clinical hour
• Licensed Counselor (LPC, LSW or MFT): $60 per clinical hour
• Licensed Counselor (LPC, LSW or MFT) with EFT Training complete- $64 per clinical hour
• Independently Licensed (LPCC, LISW or IMFT): $64 per clinical hour
• Independently Licensed (LPCC, LISW or IMFT) with EFT Training complete- $68 per clinical hour
