**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Dining Service Steward to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning equipment and tools are properly maintained and operated, including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
**Responsibilities**
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
- Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
- Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
**Requirements**
- Familiarity with cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Good communication skills.
