We are seeking A hotel banquet captain is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a catered event within a hotel, including planning, setup, service execution, and breakdown, ensuring smooth operation and guest satisfaction by managing the banquet staff, coordinating food and beverage delivery, and addressing any issues that may arise during the event. Key responsibilities of a hotel banquet captain:
- Event planning and coordination:Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs, create detailed event schedules, and manage all aspects of the banquet setup including table arrangements, decorations, and equipment.
- Staff supervision:Lead and manage a team of banquet servers, bartenders, and other support staff, assigning tasks, ensuring proper service standards are met, and providing on-the-job training.
- Food and beverage service:Oversee the delivery of food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely service and adherence to dietary restrictions.
- Guest satisfaction:Actively monitor guest experience throughout the event, address any concerns or complaints promptly, and ensure a positive and memorable experience.
- Quality control:Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in banquet spaces, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly handled and stored.
- Pre-event preparation:Conduct pre-shift briefings with staff, review event details, and inspect banquet spaces for readiness.
- Post-event breakdown:Supervise the breakdown and cleanup process after an event, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and banquet spaces are restored to their original condition.
