What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional Tier 1-Marrs Elementary School position at Marrs Elementary School?
Skiatook Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Tier 1 Paraprofessional for Marrs Elementary School (Grade Pre-K-1st) for the 2025-2026 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate Degree or 48 hours of passing College Credit or have passed the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET) ; ParaPro Test or WorkKeys Test. MUST PROVIDE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION. Individual must stand and walk up to seven hours. Good people skills are necessary to positively impact the student’s learning environment. Job requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing, reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires occasional carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds. Job requires employee to use both hands for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation. Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and parents. The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.
CONTRACT:
WORKING HOURS: 7.5 hours daily
REPORTS TO: Classroom Teacher
EVALUATED BY: Principal
SUPERVISES: Students
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises and assists students individually and in groups in an instructional capacity.
- Grades papers and prepares instructional materials.
- Performs clerical duties related to the classroom.
- Supervises students outside of the classroom.
- Prepares bulletin boards.
- Assists students on computers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Administer, scores and records tests.
- Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of materials or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
- Serves as the chief source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully-licensed teachers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Applicants can make arrangements to take the ACT WorkKeys exam by contacting the Education Service Center @ 918-396-1792. The cost of the exam is $50 and must be paid the date the test is scheduled.
