The Digital Merchandiser plays a critical role in Mars Petcare. The Digital Merchandiser is responsible for helping to maximize the digital exposure and performance of our portfolio by ensuring flawless execution of “perfect page” principles – best-in-class content, site navigation and architecture, product information, and ratings & reviews.They will also help to define the future of our digital merchandising principles through test & learns, as well as measuring and reporting of our digital merchandising strategy (content improvement over time, ratings & reviews compliance, organic search strategy, test & learn implementation, etc.) to our customer teams and broader organization.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Min. 3 years of experience in managing brand portfolios of products online.
- Have strong functional/technical understanding of eCommerce fundamentals.
- Understand core business metrics and how these can be influenced through digital content and shelf principles.
- Prior and demonstrable experience at a large CPG organization, retailer, or agency with exposure to teamwork, systems, data, insights, and learnings
- Proven project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
- Balanced analytical/conceptual skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Primary responsibility is perfect digital page: working with our internal content team to secure best-in-class digital assets, syndicating those digital assets to our customers, and driving content improvement over time to drive conversion with our brands.
- Ensure all new products, transitioning items, and discontinued products are live and updated on retailers’ websites at the respective launch/discontinuation dates.
- Drive efficiency in content syndication and ratings & reviews, identifying opportunities to make our content process more simplified to improve our speed to market.
- Monitor and analyze our portfolio and competitors’ search & merchandising strategy around key criteria: content quality, integrity, availability, placement & search, pricing. Monitor and anticipate new digital merchandising trends and winning tactics, partnering with the customer team, OneInsights team, and the retailer to bring them to life.
- Serve as a key cog in our ‘always-on optimization’ content process, leveraging both internal and competitive insights to continually improve how our brands come to life through our retailer’s websites.
- Define and coordinate the execution of our Digital Merchandising strategy on retailer websites and coordinate search principles and tools, including design and execution of cross-sell / upsell activities.
- Work with key stakeholders to define and implement ‘test and learn’ improvement strategies and opportunities. Define and continuously measure KPIs to assess retailer digital content and shelf strategies and execution capabilities.
- Work with over 130,000 with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.
