As a Supplier Quality Assurance Technologist at Mars, you will perform supplier audits, risk assessments, and address non-conformances of in-bound materials at Mars sites. You will also execute continuous improvement projects used across the business, with the goal of improving material quality, food safety, and overall sourcing strategy reliability to ensure we provide the best quality products possible to our consumers.

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Technologist at Mars, you will perform supplier audits, risk assessments, and address non-conformances of in-bound materials at Mars sites. You will also execute continuous improvement projects used across the business, with the goal of improving material quality, food safety, and overall sourcing strategy reliability to ensure we provide the best quality products possible to our consumers.
What are we looking for?
- 3 or more years of experience working manufacturing quality, with sound understanding of food safety and HAACP.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- Advanced training in Lean principles and problem solving.
- Strong understanding of supply chain with the physical capability of working in a manufacturing environment when necessary.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- You will be the primary interface between our supply chain and our suppliers regarding all quality matters.
- Lead several aspects of the supplier relationship, including metrics and data compliance, quality audits, and hazard controls review.
- Initiate, drive, and follow-up on corrective actions related to materials & suppliers and inform internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve quality across both Mars and supplier sites.
- Driving a culture that is rooted heavily in Lean principles and applying the associated problem-solving methodology across the manufacturing network.
