Position Title: Pest Control Applicator

Position Overview:
The Pest Control Applicator is responsible for the safe and effective application of pest control treatments to residential and commercial properties. This role requires knowledge of pest identification, control methods, compliance with Ohio licensing requirements, and a commitment to client satisfaction. The technician must be capable of operating application equipment, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:1. Pest Control Application:
- Identify pests and assess the extent of infestations.
- Apply pesticides and other pest control products in accordance with label instructions and industry standards.
- Safely handle, mix, and store chemicals while adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
2. Inspection and Assessment:
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify potential pest issues.
- Recommend preventative measures and treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatments and suggest follow-up actions if necessary.
3. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain pest control equipment, including sprayers, bait systems, and traps.
- Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure functionality and safety.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the Production Manager.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain an active Ohio pesticide applicator license or technician license.
- Keep accurate records of all applications, including dates, products used, and treatment areas, as required by law.
- Follow all state and federal regulations regarding chemical applications and safety protocols.
5. Customer Service:
- Communicate with clients to explain services performed and answer any questions.
- Provide pest prevention tips and recommendations to help clients maintain a pest-free environment.
- Address client concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and job sites.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in pest control is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Coursework or certifications in pest management are a plus.
- Licensing:
- Must possess a valid Ohio pesticide applicator license or technician license.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of pest identification, control methods, and pesticide applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Capability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Operate equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Quarterly bonuses based on production.

Pay: $43,680.00 - $64,000.00 per year
