Position Summary:
The Program Director will oversee all aspects of operations, including financial management, fundraising, program development, community outreach, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized, dynamic, hands-on leader with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those impacted by substance use disorders. Strong strategic thinking, effective communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders will be key to success in this role. The Program Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s direction, culture, and impact.
Objectives:
- Increase financial sustainability of Marshall County Hope by identifying and securing funding opportunities.
- Ensure high-quality implementation of activities and effective communication and collaboration among consortium members.
- Complete and submit Recovery Community Organization application
- Maintain accurate data, records, and files to track Marshall County Hope’s activities, achievements, participation, progress, and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Fundraising:
- Lead fundraising efforts, including identifying funding sources, writing grant proposals, and developing donor engagement strategies.
- Maintain documentation to support grant activities.
- Deliver required notices of award, agreements, and budget information to appropriate partners.
- Manage Marshall County Hope budget and monitor expenses from various funding sources
- Coordinate data collection and reporting for opioid settlement dollars and grant awards
- Serve as the public face of Marshall County Hope, building relationships with stakeholders, donors, government agencies, and community leaders.
Organizational Operations
- Manage Marshall County Hope employee benefits, payroll, and adherence to organizational HR policies and state/federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for maintaining the organization’s 501(c)(3) status.
- Identify and develop policies and procedures, or amendments to current policies. Solicit approval of new policies from the Board.
- Work with legal counsel to address any necessary filings or tax-related issues.
- Secure and maintain 501(c)(3) status
Organizational Strategy and Mission
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, advocacy groups, and local service providers to ensure Marshall County Hope’s services are widely known and accessible.
- Keep informed of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs in the community and plan expansions to current offerings.
- Identify metrics that reflect progress in organizational strategy and monitor them regularly
- Connect with new partners while keeping current partners engaged
- Onboard new partners according to approved policies and procedures
- Work closely with board directors and committees to assess and address issues affecting the organization
- Complete other duties as required to support the sustainable impact of Marshall County Hope
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent networking skills and ability to build rapport and trust quickly with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in grant management, including narrative and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Highly computer literate and confident with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of SUD programs and current trends in education, prevention, treatment, and recovery both nationally and regionally
- Marketing, creative expression & public relations experience
- Project management certification or experience
- Lived experience with Substance Use Disorder

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
