The Financial Systems Analyst III, is a Senior-Level position who will lead the implementation, optimization, and management of financial application systems within our healthcare system. This role will leverage advanced skills and deep understanding of healthcare operations developed through extensive experience in the above activities to drive improvements in revenue cycle management.
This is the advanced level of our financial applications analyst positions. Positions at this level are distinguished from other information technology analyst levels in that typical Financial Analysts I's and II's specialize in supporting financial application systems at large, whereas this position requires both financial and technical expertise as well as leadership to support ongoing financial operations and enterprise-wide support associated with the use of the enterprise's core financial software. This position will serve in a dedicated team, leading and coordinating needed integrations for non-clinical business function technology, primarily the core financial system.
The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Health system Financials, along with extensive knowledge of Revenue cycle operations. This role involves developing, managing, and optimizing rules and workflows to ensure efficient and accurate processing within the enterprise Revenue Cycle and other business functions.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance revenue cycle workflows and systems.
- Collaborate with department and senior management to align IT strategies with organizational goals/objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of new revenue cycle technologies and initiatives.
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of revenue cycle systems
- Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements and industry standards for data security and privacy.
- Implement best practices for system performance monitoring and optimization, aligning with The Joint Commission and CMS standards and guidelines.
- Analyze current patient access processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop innovative solutions to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead projects to implement new technologies or enhancements to existing systems.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare informatics, computer science, or related field. required; or college level study leading to a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification by the American Health Information Management Association.
Or at minimum: - 2-4 years Management experience.
10 years work experience in IT or relevant operational department.
Preferred and Required experience:
- Experience planning, designing complex workflows, execute build for a full life cycle implementation of electronic health record programs for large scale health care organizations.
- Strong background of experience providing legacy support, excellent customer relations /department/end-user support of information systems, operating systems, software applications, and related hardware.
- Proficient in business/office applications such as Excel, Access, Word, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.
- Working knowledge of networking, authentication, healthcare revenue cycle operations.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with Physicians, Clinicians, Executive Leadership, Stakeholders and a diverse user community.
- Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and time management skills required to support, maintain, train and trouble-shoot application issues.
- Must have working knowledge of industry benchmarks and best practice across revenue cycle applications.
- Use discretion in conduct when accessing patient data and maintain confidentiality at all levels associated with the work environment.
