What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Monitor position at Marshall Public Schools?
- Associates Degree; OR 60 credit hours from a degree granting college/university
- Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), preferred but not required
- Ability to work well with children and adults
- Maintain a general interest in helping children in their educational process
- Calm and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication (oral, written and listening) and interpersonal relations skills
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work set up by the classroom teacher
- Input data and maintain physical and computerized files on student progress, achievement and use of instructional programs
- Troubleshoot minor technology problems within the computer lab, if applicable
- Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information both professionally and personally
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Perform other related duties as assigned by building leadership

NATURE OF POSITION: The instructional monitor shall oversee students in the Edmentum program, under the direction of the classroom teacher, with instructional exercises assigned to those students needing help in reaching academic achievement standards.
WAGE: $15.50/hr
WORK YEAR: School Year Calendar (180 days)
HOURS: M-F, 7:45 AM-2:00 PM w/30 minute duty free lunch (5.75 hr/day; 28.75 hr/wk)
