- Work week is 37.5 hrs.

Job Duties For This Position Include
- Providing Administrative assistant to the Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Education and the Chairman of the Department of Clinical and Translational Sciences Uma Sundaram, MD, and other appropriate staff or faculty members.
- Assisting with the application process for the graduate program and the administrative assistance in organizing events for the Bio-medical Science program.
- Assisting with purchasing laboratory supplies under the direction of the business manager for all the investigators in the Department of Clinical and Translational Science (DCTS) and COBRE
- Being physically available to answer phone calls and communicate messages to appropriate staff or faculty during working hours.
- Maintaining several intricate projects as instructed by the Vice Dean/Chair.
- Working as the liaison for internal and external departments by providing communication, both written and oral.
- Receiving and greeting visitors at the Biomedical Research Graduate Education office.
- Collecting, sorting, and distributing mail to appropriate faculty.
- Preparing requisitions/Encumbrances by using the Marshall University Banner system.
- Other responsibilities as outlined by the business manager and department chair.

- Associate’s degree or vocational or technical school degree.
- Minimum of 6 months clerical experience
