What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager/Counseling Ctr position at Marshall University?
- Reports to and works closely with the Coordinator of Case-Management and Student Development and other administrative staff.
- Works closely with the Director, Assistant Director, and Coordinators to ensure quality care is being provided to clients.
- Participates in the on-call schedule and managing crisis situations.
- Coordinate and facilitate patient care through assessment, evaluation, planning, and implementation.
- Counseling Center outreach events
- Tracking events and goal progress for the Counseling Center
- Scheduling meetings and sending out Teams links weekly
- Works closely with the Mental Health Specialists:
o Carry caseload for med management and higher acuity clients for more hands on services
o Walk-in clinic and intakes
o Assessment
o Developing, monitoring, and evaluating treatment plans and progress
o Communicate client needs to a variety of care team members and follow up accordingly and provide appropriate referrals
o Linkage and referring students to community resources
o Maintain client records by reviewing case notes and monitoring files
o Advocate for client’s success
o Scheduling/rescheduling psychiatric appointments
o Psychiatric medication refills
o Weekly psychiatric provider reports and weekly communication with medical staff
o Monitor psychiatric appointments and communicate any concerns with Mental Health Specialists and medical staff
o Document and monitor student attendance, outreach to clients who are missing appointments to ensure continuity of care
o Manage discharge plans upon completion of treatment
o Assist in development and carrying out workshops and support groups
Salary Range $35,568 - $47,000 Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time Work Location MU - Marshall University

Education
Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, education, nursing, criminal justice, regents degree with field related classes, or other field related degrees.
