General function: Lead, plan, and supervise statewide efforts to support individuals with autism as they pursue a life of quality.

- Coordinate, supervise, lead, and evaluate the performance of Autism Specialists positioned strategically across the state as they plan for, and carry out, training efforts.
- Oversee and participate in the development and implementation of family support plans, behavior support plans, and other educational or training efforts, including educator staff training requests for WV schools, as well as individual consultation requests.
- Oversee and provide regular feedback on client-based services and monthly documentation submission.
- Assist the Director of Direct Services and Community Education Coordinator on oversight of WVATC Law Enforcement trainings and refresher course trainings, April Autism Awareness Community events, Annual ATC Lifespan conference, and others as assigned by the Director of Direct Services.
- Plan and facilitate staff meetings designed to improve the professional development of staff and lead to effective client services.
- Work with families as assigned and as necessary.
- Provide instruction and support for all non-clinical staff who register, assess, and provide intake for the center’s multi-tiered positive behavior support program.
- Develop and provide lecture presentations on PBS and special topics related to autism
- for registered families of the WV ATC and others.
- Prepare written reports for presentations and publications in professional journals and newsletters.
- Develop and provides presentations on autism for state and national audiences.
Travel is required for this position. Travel does not typically require overnight stays. Mileage to and from training and meetings is reimbursed.

Qualifications
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Master’s Degree in a human services-related field, such as Education, Psychology, Counseling, Communication Disorders, etc.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years supporting individuals with autism; Demonstrated experience with: (a) positive behavior support; (b) accessing resources available statewide for those in the autism community; © community-based and educational-based services provided across the state; (d) effective team leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- A Doctorate in a Human Services Field is preferred.
