What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Support Coordinator position at MarshBerry?
MarshBerry is currently seeking a Sales Support Coordinator in our Beachwood, OH office. The Sales Support Coordinator will provide professional support and value-added service to internal customers. This position will provide support to colleagues in a business development capacity by generating prospect lists, keeping the SalesForce CRM up to date, assisting with client correspondence, and meeting coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Support members of the team in their business development efforts.
- Research and qualify leads by gathering relevant data and ensuring alignment with sales criteria.
- Generate and maintain targeted prospect lists based on market research and input from the team.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, calls, and presentations.
- Prepare agendas and materials for meetings as needed. Build and edits sales presentations.
- Track and manage follow-up activities, ensuring timely communication and consistent engagement with prospects.
- Handle calendar management for team, ensuring efficient use of time and minimal scheduling conflicts.
- Prepare proposals, where applicable.
- Enter leads and new prospects into SalesForce CRM.
- Regularly update opportunities, prospect information, and other relevant data within Salesforce. Ensure all prospect and client interactions are logged accurately and promptly.
- Generate and analyze SalesForce reports to ensure accuracy, track progress, and provide insights to the sales team.
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection, sales team interaction, and follow-up workflows for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in implementing automation tools or processes to streamline lead qualification and work with the team on outreach efforts.
- Contribute to team discussions and brainstorming sessions to improve overall sales team performance.
- Assist team members with promoting their articles and speaking engagements.
- Assist with managing LinkedIn accounts.
- Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients, partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.
- Special projects and other tasks as assigned
Selection Criteria
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, communication, or related field required.
- Minimum of one to three years of support experience in business development, sales, marketing, or consulting.
- Proficient with technology; Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access or similar database. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point, is strongly preferred.
- Proficient with CRM software. SalesForce experience is a plus.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated creativity with regard to work.
- Exceptional organization skills: using systematic methods to perform work and creativity to recommend or create new work methods or procedures.
- Ability to multi-task: able to complete simultaneous projects and responsibilities with extreme attention to detail according to required timelines and deadlines.
- Team oriented: Positive and professional, able to show consideration for and maintain good working relations with co-workers and remains opens to others’ ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things.
- Confidentiality: always maintains confidentiality with proprietary information, internal and external communication.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
