Description
The Employee Health Nurse assists leadership in the promotion and application of measures to prevent and / or control diseases among employees, contractors, and volunteers. This individual will facilitate compliance with the many regulatory agencies with oversight to healthcare facilities. This individual will observe, evaluate, educate, and implement Employee Health practices and activities. The Employee Health Nurse will identify and pursue additional opportunities to meet Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) strategic goals and objectives. This position is accountable for ongoing Employee Health practices for designated facilities and will require travel.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred / Optional : Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : None
Preferred / Optional : Experience in employee or occupational health related position. Working knowledge of regulatory agencies such as Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Joint Commission, CMS Regulations, and CDC guidelines.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Current Applicable State Registered Nurse License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred / Optional : Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification obtained through the American Broad of Occupational Health Nurses
