EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, business management, adult education, organizational psychology or closely related field. Five years of experience in the areas of performance management, human performance improvement, and career development. Excellent industry awareness and understanding of the performance management evaluation needs of the organization. Proven project management experience. Experience developing and providing one-on-one career and professional development coaching. In lieu of degree, directly related experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS : The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
Summary
Responsible for the design, facilitation and execution of the Authority's performance management and career development programs. Reviews, monitors and analyzes critical phases of the performance management cycle such as goal setting, periodic check-ins, self-assessments and performance appraisals to ensure compliance authority-wide. Align the performance management system with MARTA's business priorities and continuously improve processes for the performance appraisal system. Ensures the design and implementation of authority-wide career pathing strategy, including developing career pathways for critical roles in the organization. Provides consultation and expert advice to management.

- Oversee the implementation of key performance measures, job success factors and other requirements into the performance evaluation system.
- Reports and track analytics regarding program effectiveness and compliance during the performance management cycle. Uses data to also identify performance gaps, below/poor performers and partner with Strategic Training team to determine strategies for employee development and performance improvement.
- Ensures the design and execution of authority-wide career pathing strategy, and career development tools and processes.
- Ensures that performance management and career development initiatives and execution plans are widely communicated throughout the Authority.
- Responsible for key administrative tasks in utilizing Performance Management and Career Development systems/technology.
- Provides consultation or expert advice to management. Provides professional development counseling and career coaching to individual employees.
- Provides leadership and direction, identifying current and emerging trends in human performance and career development, and implements innovation.
