As a growing small business with increased client demand, MVID is seeking to add an experienced Interior Designer/Project Manager to the team.
Applicants should be creative and productive forward thinkers that work well in a team environment.
Professional level proficiency in Auto CAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office required.
This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing plans and designs for the interior of high-end residential projects based on the needs of each client. Designs must balance function and aesthetic to enhance the living spaces of our discerning clientele. Project scopes range and may include all manner of interior décor and architecture, including color and material selections, wall covering, fixtures, furnishings, etc
- Creating drawings, presentations, and product proposals and meeting with clients to present these in person
- Fully managing projects, including directing the work of Design Assistants and Junior Designers, as well as coordinating the work of contractors
- Balancing multiple projects at once with consistent attention to detail and a focus on client relations
The Interior Designer will report to the firm’s Principal and Operations Manager.
Requirements / Qualifications:
A wide degree of creativity and latitude will be expected in this role. Qualified candidates must be familiar with design and construction concepts, practices, and procedures. The role relies on extensive experience and good judgment to accomplish goals.
Candidates must have:
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience as an Interior Designer and Project Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Professional level proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- NCIDQ Certification preferred but not necessary. Knowledge of custom window treatments is a plus.
This job is full-time and qualified candidates must be willing to relocate to Martha’s Vineyard.
