Shop Manager/Service Writer
Status: Full time
Compensation: Weekly salary, benefits include, but not limited to paid vacation and bonuses
Summary: Marti Auto Service strives to offer its client expert maintenance and repair solutions. The Automobile Shop manager is responsible for a smooth and efficient operation. He must supervise shop production, making sure technicians are properly assigned and repair orders are followed precisely. Jobs are to be checked for accuracy and completeness, and must be a good time manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must carefully listen to the client’s request or explanation of the issue they're experiencing, then proceed to write the service order Ensures the estimate is approved by the client before proceeding with the job Assigns technicians to perform the tasks or repairs as needed Supervises the repairs performed for thoroughness, accuracy and time management Must test the work to make sure it was done correctly and test drive, if needed Reviews invoices to make sure billing is accurate, before it is given to the client Sees that all technicians and staff report to work as scheduled and on time, everyday Will have the authority to enforce company policies and administer discipline Coordinates lunch breaks and ensures that all tasks are completed before dismissing anyone at the end of the day.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or a GED required Must have a minimum of 5-years of automotive repair experience Have the ability to operate diagnostic tools and know how to interpret the data Have a valid driver's license Must have great communication skills in English, Spanish is a plus
