Under the direction of management, this position performs a variety of operations relating to the administrative functions and statutory responsibilities for the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. This position requires the incumbent to communicate with co-workers, management, judges, elected officials, and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provide coverage for the information desk and online chat service Greet customers and direct them to the proper divisionTake messages for employees from customers when the employee is unavailableAnswer phone calls and direct them to the proper divisionAssist with daily mail processesAssist with public and court record requestsProcess redactions in the court redaction programAssist with the court records management and retention processes Scan court documents to the corresponding case file and docket entryReview images for legibilityNotify management of critical problems or issues relating to the departmentOffer support with jury duty services as requiredPerform other administrative office tasks as assignedMaintain compliance with Rule 2.420, Public Access to and Protection of Judicial Branch Records as outlined in the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial AdministrationMaintain compliance with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes and other statutory provisionsMaintain current knowledge of best practices, court rules, statutes, administrative code, regulatory, and legislative developments to ensure proper application to division practicesNOTE: The omission of an essential function of work does not preclude the Clerk of Court from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.

Supervisory responsibilities: NonePhysical Requirements: Tasks involve frequent walking, sitting, standing, standard stooping, stretching and bending, some lifting and carrying objects of light to medium weight (5-40 pounds).Environmental Requirement: Tasks are performed mostly indoors but may be subject to infrequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
