Job Summary:
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Nurse in a fast-paced and innovative environment. As a Clinical Nurse at Martin County Rural Health Clinic, you will play a vital role in providing professional patient care and assisting providers in medical treatments and procedures. Certification as a CMA, LPN, or RN is a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert patient care under supervision, adhering to established standards and practices.
- Maintain established clinic policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
-Maintain a clean, orderly, safe environment for patients and personnel.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information and abide by established communications code.
- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations.
- Triage patients including (but not limited to) documenting chief complaint, reviewing and updating patient medications, documenting allergies, listing medical and surgical history, obtaining and documenting patient vitals, etc.
- Administering injections and immunizations order by medical providers.
- Assisting in the collection of specimens such as (but not limited to) urine specimens and throat/nasal swabs.
- Performing ordered procedures such as (but not limited to) Phlebotomy, obtaining EKG's, hearing screens, tympanograms, vision screenings, etc .
- Verifying patient's charts are updated and accurate.
- Obtaining PA's for medications and/or procedures ordered by medical providers.
- Assisting medical providers with refill requests, patient forms, and other patient needed documentation.
- Document and communicate with patients and providers to discuss patient results in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license and/or certification.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, medical providers, and management.
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care and well-being.
- Ability to work in a fast- faced workplace.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
