Summary:
The Production Supervisor will be key to the day-to-day coordination of the work with assigned teams. In this role, the Supervisor monitors and coordinates activities of departments responsible for manufacturing and preparing products for shipment to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop metrics to support company goals.
- Plan staffing according to schedule.
- Communicate internally and with the Manager regarding orders and transportation needs.
- Organize and prioritize work depending on customer needs and resource availability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements including but not limited to transport and shipping practices.
- Responsible for overall department hours/productivity.
- Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of areas.
- Improve work processes to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor workflow among team members and resolve issues as they arise.
- Assist team members with work process problems and solutions.
- Coach team members to develop team member competencies.
- Manage all documents such as shipping notices, pick lists, pack slips and BOL’s.
- Ensures timely shipping and delivery of goods according to schedule.
- Review, correction and approval of departmental timekeeping.
- Support company quality assurance standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position manages processes, procedures and direct reports assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred and 1 year of people leading experience.
