Summary:
The Receiving Coordinator at Martin Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt of incoming shipments and inventory control. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and adhering to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage or discrepancies.
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Update inventory records and systems with received items, quantities, and other relevant information.
- Perform cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve shipment discrepancies or issues.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal teams, including Purchasing, Warehouse, and Customer Service, to ensure accurate and efficient receiving processes.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized receiving area, including organizing shelves, bins, and storage spaces.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal teams and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify process improvements and implement best practices for receiving operations.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or storeroom work experience is preferred.
- Forklift Experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with stocking and inventory control is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Forklift certification and experience is required.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Ability to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments efficiently and effectively.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
