Martin Fastening Solutions, a division of Martin Inc., is looking for a top-notch Sourcing Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in overseeing the quotation process and supplier selection for a wide range of industrial and fastening products. The ideal candidate will play a key role in streamlining sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring procurement effectiveness across the company. Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, analytical skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively are critical for success in this role.
Summary :
The Sourcing Specialist at Martin, Inc is a crucial role responsible for efficiently managing the quotation process and selecting suppliers for various products and services. This position plays a vital role in optimizing sourcing practices, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and meeting company-wide procurement requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the end-to-end quotation process with domestic and foreign suppliers for various products and services.
- Review customer blueprints, samples, and / or specifications to accurately identify and describe parts for quotation preparation.
- Submit Request for Quotes (RFQs) to Martin’s preferred supply base and evaluate supplier responses.
- Identify, evaluate, and select the most suitable suppliers based on specifications, quality, pricing, availability, and supplier viability.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding cost, quantity, delivery, and terms of service to ensure the best value.
- Maintain and update supplier contacts, pricing, and terms within the ERP and Quotation Software system.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners to optimize sourcing practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational needs and customer expectations.
- Provide regular status updates on all quotations and projects to the Quotation Manager.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through effective sourcing strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date RFQ data in the designated system.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of sourcing activities to meet deadlines and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Uphold professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic, team-based environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
