Job Description: 4th shift
Friday- Sunday 4:30PM-5AM
Title: Machine Operator
Department: Wire Cut
Employee: Will be working 36 hours and the company will compensate you for the remaining 4 hours to equate a 40 hour week.
Job Summary:
Operate Artos, Komax, Eubanks, and Schleuniger wire-cutting machines. Machine operators are responsible for setting machines to cut wire to job-specific dimensions in accordance with MIS cut sheet. Operators conduct applicator changes, set wire stamping, set terminal reels, and ensure the proper function of wire cut machines.
Job Core Tasks:
· Operate all machine types within the department.
· Be able to properly identify wire by gauge and color.
· Perform spot checks of cut wire to ensure proper measurements and quality.
· Must be able to stand throughout the entirety of the shift as the position is a standing position.
· Follow company policies and regulations as listed on MIS Policy Acknowledgment Form.
Skills:
· Ability to perform basic computer functions such as reading and entering data, navigating MIS software, training provided, and basic troubleshooting.
· Math and reading skills, being able to read and differentiate measurements.
· Time management
· Communication skills, being able to alert manager or lead when an error occurs.
· Ability to lift 25 pounds and move up to 50 pounds with barrel dolly.
· Mechanical skills
